Biographical Information
Antonio ("Anthony") Andriacchi was born in Italy about 1861 — of the Simbario, Calabria family Confirmed. He married Elizabeth Bertucci, and their daughter Giuseppina carried the line to Chicago. He himself emigrated too: the 1940 US census finds him, aged 79 and widowed, living in his daughter Giuseppina's Chicago household (indexed "Anthony Adricci, maternal grandfather") — the first record to place him and confirm him as a real person from outside the family chart.

CONFIRMED — 1940 US census (Session 69). In the Chicago household headed by his daughter Josephine (Giuseppina) Perino (Ward 11, ED 103-703), the enumerator lists "Anthony Adricci, maternal grandfather, 79, born Italy" — i.e. Antonio Andriacchi, aged 79 (b. ~1861), a widower living with Giuseppina, her son Anthony (24), and children Josephine (20), Bruno (19) and Frances (16). This is the first outside-the-chart confirmation of Giuseppina's father, and shows he emigrated and lived out his last years with her family. Because he was already a widower, no intact "Antonio × Elizabeth Bertucci" household appears in the US censuses — Elizabeth had predeceased him.Confirmed
