Biographical Information

Jane Jolliffe, née Gorton, was the wife of Samuel Jolliffe (the elder) and mother of the Bristol shoemaker Samuel Joliffe Confirmed. She was born about 1814 in Bristol and married Samuel Jolliffe (of Dorset) on 3 February 1833 at St James' Priory Church, Bristol Confirmed. She appears in the 1851 St Philips, Bristol census with her husband and children, and died in 1857.
