Biographical Information

Carlo Lo Cascio (Locascio) was born c.1848, Italy Confirmed in Italy (Palermo prob.); later Berwyn, Cook Co., Illinois. Carlo married Antonina Lo Verde; their children included Rose and Michael. On 12 June 1915 Antonina was assassinated on the front steps of their home at 1104 Cambridge Avenue — the family's Black Hand killing, now confirmed Confirmed — leaving Carlo a widower. He long outlived her: the 1930 census finds him, aged 82, in the household of his daughter Rose and John Russo.
