Michael (Mike) Lo Cascio, a brother of Rose Locascio and son of Carlo Lo Cascio and Antonina Lo Verde, was born about 2 April 1888 and died at Oak Park, Illinois, on 28 August 1947; he married Eva Confirmed. He is the family's Black Hand figure: in the 1914 killing of Joe Ingo — his own brother-in-law, husband of his sister Angelina Lo Cascio — he was named the prime suspect (with Joseph Rumano and others), part of the Little Sicily vendetta that a year later took his mother's life on the family's own front steps Confirmed.

A 1911 Chicago declaration of intention for a "Michele Locascio," b. 24 Feb 1889 at Camporeale (Trapani), may or may not be him — the date differs from his 2 Apr 1888, no parents are indexed, and there are several Michael Locascios in Cook County. Camporeale (western Sicily) also conflicts with sister Josie's Palermo birthplace, so this is not treated as the family's town.Hypothesis

In the 2 April 1914 killing of Joe Ingo (Northwestern 'Homicide in Chicago' index, Case #3945), Michael Lo Cascio was wanted and arrested 5 April 1914; co-suspects included Frank Canella, Joseph Perricona and Joseph Rumano (held without bail 24 Dec 1914).
