Josephina Lo Cascio

Locascio — Rose's sibling  ·  LOC-005

Biographical Information

Josephina "Josie" Giuseppa Lo Cascio was born on 8 March 1884 in Palermo, Italy, a daughter of Carlo Lo Cascio and Antonina Lo Verde and a sister of Rose, Michael and Angelina Confirmed. She is the second of the two "elusive" Locascio sisters, now confirmed. She married Frank Cannella and raised her family in Chicago; she died in 1957 and was buried on 27 December 1957 at Queen of Heaven / Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside — the same Hillside cemetery complex as her mother Antonina and brother Michael. Her husband Frank Cannella bears the name of the "Frank Canella" arrested in the 1914 murder of her brother-in-law Joe Ingo (Angelina's husband) — very probably the same man, which would make the whole 1914 homicide an affair among in-laws.
